Tula has facilities in San Jose, California and Plymouth, Michigan.

Position Description:

The Technical Marketing Manager is responsible for Tula’s Automotive Powertrain software and silicon products that implement Tula’s next generation engine efficiency technology with a special focus on Powertrain SoC’s. Reporting to the VP of Business Development, this candidate will be responsible for defining silicon and software strategies and enabling Tula’s products with automotive customers including OEM’s and Tier1 suppliers.

The position will be based in one of our two facilities, San Jose, CA or Plymouth, MI.

  • Define silicon and software requirements on new product development for multiple customers
  • Develop market and competitive analysis to drive technical roadmap for silicon and software functionality
  • Product delivery and program management of delivery to customer.


  • Must have prior experience introducing silicon products in the automotive market working with OEM’s and/or Tier1 suppliers
  • Strong understanding of Powertrain software structure, ECU hardware including MCU’s, and vehicle electrical architectures with 5 years of experience working in automotive powertrain controllers
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies
  • Highly motivated self-starter with attention to details
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and work with individuals at all levels
  • Bachelors in Engineering or Marketing (Electrical Engineering preferred)

Bonus Points:

  • Experience developing MCU products for automotive market
  • Familiarity with AEC-Q100 and ISO26262 standards. Must have taken a product through AEC-Q100 qualification and PPAP process with Tier1/OEM
  • Application Engineering experience in the automotive electronics area
  • MBA in Marketing with at least 5 years of experience in semiconductor industry and product marketing
