The Role

Saildrone is seeking a talented Enterprise Systems professional to own the core software systems used to produce and service our fleet of autonomous vessels. This role is tasked with aligning the ERP, MES & other systems to internal business processes. The ideal candidate has experience designing business processes and configuring software systems to enable them. They would have years of experience implementing NetSuite, specifically in a rapidly-scaling environment, where new functionality is needed frequently. They would be able to gather requirements from internal stakeholders, and use them to design light-weight, efficient processes.

What You’ll Do

• Administer Saildrone’s core operations software: Netsuite (ERP), Tulip (MES), & Fleetio (fleet management)
• Design business processes that are flexible & efficient that are enabled with the systems we use.
• Manage the commercial relationship with the software providers ensuring no interruptions.
• Meet regularly with internal users to determine the pain points of the systems. Maintain roadmap for future functionality.
• For new functionality or capabilities, design business processes & determine system requirements. Select and collaborate with outside consultants to develop & test new features.

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years experience implementing and administering Netsuite or other ERPs, and min. HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in scaling hardware/manufacturing companies that have to balance process control with agility.
• Independent, and highly productive, can manage the entire software development cycle
• Clear written communication in the form of regular updates to the broader business
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed on a computer and requires ability to operate a keyboard and other peripheral devices.
  

Location: This position is onsite daily in Alameda, CA. Our waterfront office offers beautiful views of San Francisco Bay in always sunny Alameda. Even our walls have good karma, our offices mix software development with a hardware production line in the former airplane hangar used to film 'The Matrix'.
