Description:

This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Network Engineer III supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.

The primary responsibilities of the Network Engineer include planning, deploying, integrating, and testing upgrades to the network to operational sites, traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to program personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. and 5 years’ experience or M.S. and 3 years’ experience in science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • Must be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.
  • Must understand the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
  • Must have network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Must have firewall experience - especially Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto
  • Must have experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
  • Must have hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper, Cisco), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
  • Must be an effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Must thrive and work in a collaborative and agile environment.
  • Must understand standard DOD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarization with virtualization technologies - NFV, SDWAN, VMware, VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, vSAN, and Aria
  • Experience with network automation using Ansible
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required for this position.

The proposed salary range for this position is $109.4k - $160.2k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
