Description:

This is an opportunity to join the IERUS team as a Level 1 Help Desk Support Person supporting a large Missile Defense Agency program.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related masters degree. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: operating, maintaining, and managing Linux-based systems supporting a software development environment; responsibility for the overall day-to-day operations of the Windows/Linux environment and for backup and recovery (including disaster recovery) of system data; ensuring all data is being backed up on a regular basis; responding appropriately to any system security/virus incident discovered; installing, configuring, monitoring, managing, and maintaining all Linux based servers; ensuring Linux based systems have the appropriate patches installed; including but not limited to, security, applications and OS; ensuring Linux based systems are running current versions of antivirus software with current virus definition files; recommending system enhancements, including but not limited to, servers, applications, storage, processes and procedures; ensuring all appropriate asset management functions are completed as required; ensuring all Linux servers are configured to comply with all appropriate security policies - All other tasks as assigned by the IT site lead or IT manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or Physics or related discipline, or equivalent education/experience with 3-7 years’ experience in a directly applicable position.
  • A current Security +, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP certification.
  • Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret-SCI.
  • Experience with Linux system administration, System Security Implementations, Linux shell scripting, Ansible playbook development and management, security enhanced (SE) Linux, and Red Hat repository administration.
  • Technical skills to support a diverse environment, including server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Background/knowledge of Linux environment and administration.
  • Working knowledge of Agile principles and practices.
  • Understanding of configuration managed Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
  • Understanding of what IT's role is in Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and how it can be applied to PaaS.
  • Knowledge of applying containers (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with LINUX Products (Red Hat LINUX) use of Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Understanding of the Agile processes

Desired Qualifications

  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of the following: Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Multi-Factor Authentication implementation like IPA and ADFS, OpenShift, OpenStack, VMware ESXI, QAS/VAS, Windows, Active Directory, Backup and Recovery, Containers and Container Orchestration products.
  • Knowledge of Git, Nexus, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Understanding of the concept of PaaS and SaaS.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and its application to IT and IT products.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

The proposed salary range for this position is $77.9k - $128.7k. Salaries are commensurate with candidate experience and qualifications within the experience bandwidth, as well as market and business considerations.
