The successful candidate will develop custom plugins for Unreal Engine to extend its functionality and meet project requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Unreal Engine development and plugin creation, with the ability to design, develop, and integrate plugins to enhance the functionality of Unreal Engine for various projects. Unreal Engine Plugin Developer Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $60/hr
  • Worksite: Leading audio, video, and voice technologies company (Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
  • 15-40 hours/week, 4 Month Assignment

Unreal Engine Plugin Developer Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom plugins for Unreal Engine to extend its functionality and meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project needs and requirements.
  • Design and implement plugin architecture and functionality using C++ and Blueprints.
  • Optimize plugins for performance and compatibility with different Unreal Engine versions.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues with plugins, providing timely fixes and updates.
  • Create documentation for plugins, including usage instructions and technical specifications.
  • Stay updated with the latest Unreal Engine features, APIs, and best practices.
  • Assist in the integration of third-party plugins and tools into Unreal Engine projects.
  • Contribute to the overall development process by providing insights and suggestions for improvement.

Unreal Engine Plugin Developer Qualifications:

  • Experience in plugin development for Unreal Engine, with proficiency in C++ and Blueprints.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine development, including strong knowledge of its architecture, workflows, and development environment.
  • Strong understanding of 3D graphics concepts, including rendering, shaders, and geometry manipulation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git, for managing code changes and collaboration.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated with new technologies and best practices in game development and Unreal Engine.

Unreal Engine Plugin Developer Shift:

  • Team willing to consider either part-time (minimum of 15 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week) candidates.
  • Fully remote but the candidate should be willing to work shifts with some overlap with the PST time zone as some of the team are in the West Coast.
