A leading digital streaming network is seeking a Software Developer. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our engineering team to construct and maintain our internal Content Management System (CMS), a critical component in managing live events for us. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of related experience. The company offers a great work environment!

Software Developer Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $80-$85/hr (Pay varies based on candidate's location and experience)
• Worksite: Leading digital streaming network. (Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States, Candidates in Pacific Time preferred, Open to candidates from Eastern Time Zone)
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
• 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

Software Developer Responsibilities:

• Building and maintaining scalable and robust frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and other modern JavaScript technologies.
• Work with designers, product owners and stakeholders to define and validate visual requirements, user workflow and UI prototypes.
• Work with UI engineers to maintain, evolve and modernize our existing video encoding platforms.
• Developing reusable, efficient, and accessible UI components according to design specifications.
• Working with GraphQL or REST APIs for integration with backend services.
• Actively influence future innovations by following the latest and most efficient UI technology trends.
• Advocate a culture of collaboration and teamwork between engineers.

Software Developer Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience.
• Experience with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks.
• Experience with React.
  
• JavaScript / ES6 / TypeScript: Strong understanding of fundamental JavaScript concepts, extensive knowledge of ES6, as well as familiarity with TypeScript and understanding of its benefits and use cases.
• Familiar with CSS, CSS pre-processors like SASS / LESS, and Frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material-UI.
• Understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Familiar with GraphQL/NodeJS, RESTful API and understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Performance Optimization: Ability to optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Accessibility and Testing: Awareness about accessible front-end design and user testing. Knowledge of testing libraries (like Jest, Enzyme, or React Testing Library) c
• Communication Skills: Ability to work in a team, understand specifications, and communicate problems clearly.
• Familiar with technical writing and design documentation.
• Familiar with container technology and management such as Docker and Kubernetes.
