A leading University is seeking a Social Media Strategist. The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant experience strongly preferred including knowledge of and experience in the field of public policy. The company offers a great work environment!

Social Media Strategist Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $40/hr
  • Worksite: Leading University (Stanford, CA 94305 - Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, may require occasional work on evenings and weekends, 7 Month Assignment

Social Media Strategist Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant experience strongly preferred including knowledge of and experience in the field of public policy.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in the workforce, or combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Experience and understanding of effective ways for a public policy research center/think tank to use social media to reach target audiences.
  • Experience leading highly-functioning teams.
  • Excellent research skills with an ability to distill complicated policy issues in a way that appeals to social media audiences, as well as pulling from the library of Institutional research in relation to current policy debates/news issues.
  • Ability to illustrate proven success with growing various social media audiences and increasing engagement.
  • Knowledge of the web, technology, social platforms, current and future trends.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Interest in Public Policy, Political Science, and History is strongly recommended.
  • Demonstrated problem solver.
  • Ability to leverage current and future trends to help an organization succeed at the initiative level, for a specific group, team or unit.
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
