A leading music streaming company is seeking a Contract People and Culture Business Partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high level business partner support and leadership to key business units. The individual will partner and collaborate with all areas of the People & Culture department and assigned business units to develop and implement organizational development initiatives and programs. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in People & Culture (HR) roles with at least 3 years as a business partner supporting multiple client groups in multiple locations.

People and Culture Business Partner Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $85/hr
  • Worksite: Leading streaming company (New York City, NY - Hybrid (onsite 2 day a week))
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

People and Culture Business Partner Responsibilities:

  • Partner with PCBP team and designated business unit, providing HR counsel, guidance and expertise in the areas of:
    • Coaching and counseling managers and employees on all areas of performance management, work productivity and organization structure.
    • Partnering with talent acquisition, compensation and hiring managers on all full-time, part-time, temporary or contingent needs.
    • Headcount/workforce analysis and management, to include focus on Diversity & Inclusion and workforce re-entry.
    • Facilitate annual compensation, performance evaluation and other People and Culture processes for assigned business units.
    • Manage assigned programs or projects on deadlines and within budget as applicable.
    • Data and analytics: reviewing/analyzing monthly and/or quarterly HR reporting relative to assigned groups; identify trends or concerns as needed; review for data integrity.
    • Facilitating, communicating, enforcing, and educating on HR processes and policies and ensure compliance and operational excellence; recommend process improvement as applicable.
    • Monitoring overall employee engagement, well-being and productivity for assigned business units.
    • Managing employee-related matters in compliance with federal and state employment laws; partnering with internal employment counsel and employee relations team as applicable.
    • Maintaining and establishing full awareness and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable state and federal employment laws
    • Conducting exit interviews and analysis.
    • Managing partnerships with People & Culture COEs (talent acquisition, compensation, DE&I, L&D, People & Culture Ops)
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture team to develop, recommend and implement corporate-wide People and Culture programs, policies and processes as applicable.
  • Provide guidance and feedback on People and Culture solutions and programs and assess impact to assigned business units.
  • Promote a culture of feedback and open communication, reinforcing our Values and Missions
  • Actively engage in various leadership forums to brainstorm and solve talent and organization related issues that arise.
  • Be a trusted advisor to client groups and operate with a strong business mindset and understanding of business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

People and Culture Business Partner Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in People & Culture (HR) roles with at least 3 years as a business partner supporting multiple client groups in multiple locations; must have well-rounded and demonstrated People & Culture (HR) generalist skills including but not limited to the areas of employee experience and employee relations, compensation, learning and development, workforce planning; ability to coach, counsel and influence all levels of management and appropriately balance management and employee needs.
  • BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Prior experience working in a media or technology environment is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively present data and analyses to a designated audience.
  • Proactive, solution oriented; independently takes initiative and recommends plans for improvement or new ways of thinking.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and navigate within a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment; comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
  • Effective project and process management skills; able to effectively manage and/or administer a project from start to finish.
  • Strong practical knowledge of the Human Resources field including best practices, industry standards and benchmarking.
  • Detail oriented with strong Excel and analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite and Google suites
  • Well-rounded business acumen.
  • Ability to effectively maintain and manage confidential information.
  • Ability to work across US time zones as applicable. Prior experience supporting client groups in multiple locations as a PCBP is preferred.
