A leading biotechnology company is seeking a CAD Technician-Engineering Document Control Assistant. The successful candidate will proactively interact with CAD and Document Control staff, clients and contractors relating to drafting orders assigned to them. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience with Document Control.
CAD Technician-Engineering Document Control Assistant Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $20-$35
- Worksite: Leading biotechnology company (South San Francisco, CA 94080 - Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week))
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 8 Month Assignment
CAD Technician-Engineering Document Control Assistant Responsibilities:
- Create and edit 2D/3D drawings using the latest release of AutoCAD.
- Support drafting work involving Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Process drawings.
- Proactively interact with CAD and Document Control staff, clients and contractors relating to drafting orders assigned to them.
- Perform CAD Standards conformance checks for project drawing transmittals and interact with AE vendors to resolve file issues.
- Perform field verification of floor plans and furniture plans.
- Perform all associated administrative functions related to drafting activities and the Electronic Data Management System within our Drafting Order process.
CAD Technician-Engineering Document Control Assistant Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Architectural and mechanical drafting experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Revit software (3-5 years of experience) is highly desirable.
- Prior experience/knowledge of Document Control is highly desirable, 3-5 years.
- Computer Aided Design Drafting Certificate, Engineering Drafting Degree, and/or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Mechanical, Architectural or Electrical Engineering) preferred.
- Experience in engineering drafting or design.
- Highly proficient in the use of the latest AutoCAD software and working knowledge of Revit software
- Knowledge of GMP documentation principles and change control procedures is preferred.
- Perform field verification of floor plans and furniture plans* Ability to operate large-scale plotters and copiers for drawings.
- Familiarity with all aspects of CAD systems and Engineering document control proceedings.
