Responsibilities

You will be working in collaboration with a cross-functional team to solve customer challenges through data exploration and development of analytic algorithms. Work responsibilities include:

  • Translating business needs into concrete analytic steps
  • Developing algorithm and statistical approaches
  • Execute existing analysis approaches to support client projects
  • Suggesting ways to improve upon existing analytics and visualization approaches
  • Developing new product ideas and investigating viability within business context
  • Performing data validation and review
  • Collaborating with development team members to ensure accurate implementation of our algorithms and analytic solutions into applications
  • Juggling a handful of simultaneous projects
  • Delivering against established task timelines
  • Documenting findings in reports and PowerPoint
  • Communicating progress, issues and results to stakeholders
  • Assisting with other analyses as requested by Senior Management

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of quantitative analysis experience Bachelors Degree in Statistics or related Applied Math field
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or Python
  • A desire to work as a member of a team of engineers, consultants and designers in a fast paced, iterative environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining analytic approaches to non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and word processing software
  • Great organization skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in life sciences, biotech and related field
  • Advanced degree (e.g. MS) in Stats or Applied Analysis field
  • Advanced programming experience
  • Knowledge of databases and/or query languages

  • Must be legally able to work in the US
  • Must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area
