The Lead Engineer's duties involve the following:
Help architect systems and solutions by studying information needs; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development life cycle
Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures
Be a guide for other Engineers
Recognize opportunities for unit tests and give direction accordingly
Software debugging and quality control management in GitHub/Trello
Write computer code in various languages, mostly notably Objective-C
B.Sc or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
Project management experience (Agile)
Passion for automation including writing unit and integration tests
Able to work with third party APIs
Some database experience
Excellent teamwork skills
Ability to learn new skills in a self-learned environment
Expert in Objective-C as well sound working knowledge of OS X's development environment (COCOA/Xcode) and mobile App development (iOS)
Solid working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and iWork.
Knowledge of REST / JSON, and enterprise Java / J2EE applications
An asset would also be experience with C / C ++ for Windows development

Ready to join an exciting team of people passionate about technology and publishing? The Lead Engineer (LE) spearheads Wundr's team of engineers across all of it products and services. In the capacity of software engineering, the LE will play a key role in overseeing the Company's software projects. He will help plan projects by establishing functional requirements, and engage in software programming primarily in Objective-C.
Overall, the LE will program solutions but will also serve as a team leader, liaising with the Company's executive staff, particularly the CEO/Founder. The uniqueness of this position is such that, the LE will be able to translate vision into engineering tasks in a way that reduces complexity and increases time to market using the least resource expenditures. The CEO/Founder has a "hands on" approach and will work closely with the LE in translating vision into engineering tasks.
