As a member of our expanding Data Engineering team, you will contribute to the master data and analytics roadmap for Wikia. Alongside our Director of Data Engineering you will design our data infrastructure, create ETL processes and ensure that data is properly stored. You’ll be a key player in critical business decisions by partnering closely with stakeholders across the company to educate, strategize and make sure the most important data is accessible and easy to understand.
You are a Data enthusiast with a proven track record of setting up large data set. A curious wizard with large-scale data sets? Use Hadoop, Hive or Pig for data summarization, queries and analysis. Love scripting languages? Python and/or Perl experience will come in handy. You’re a great communicator whose vast experience in building systems makes it possible for non-engineers to make data-driven decisions.
