Volunteers of America of Greater Los Angeles is a large, national not-for-profit organization founded in 1896. We provide a variety of social services to the Los Angeles area communities such as Head Start programs, Upward Bound college prep programs, veterans’ services, homeless shelters, low-income housing programs as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation.
The San Julian Access Center provides immediate needs including beds, showers, laundry, storage, medical evaluation, use of phone and the Internet. We offer job training and placement, advocacy and referrals, and daily therapy groups. We serve 300 daily and 100 every night. Learn more at www.voala.org.
