Sr. Manager, Ad Operations

We’re looking for a smart, highly motivated person to develop and own ad operations and for Vimeo. This position will be responsible for end-to-end implementation and management of advertising systems and campaigns — from creative testing and QA, to trafficking, troubleshooting, maintenance & reporting. This position will also drive planning, strategy and inventory optimization recommendations based on Vimeo’s different revenue streams. Responsibilities:
- Rich media/video/ mobile and other ad technology implementation and oversight\\
- Oversee and project manage ad server evaluations and implementations
- Partner with internal and external partners on development of custom ads and standard ad products
- Partner with account management to put in place and maintain a clear campaign launch process and optimization
- Make recommendations to Sales about effective CPMs, online revenue trends such as key performance indicators (KPIs) and other future improvements
- Ideate, develop and manage ad trafficking processes, workflows and policies
- Utilize best practices for client interaction, sales and services, and vetting technologies and vendors
- Ensure accurate ad trafficking, contract fulfillment and quality control for client campaigns
- Troubleshoot tag-related issues, reporting/delivery discrepancies and implementation concerns
- Track, measure, analyze and report the performance of multiple advertising campaigns,
- including creating detailed performance reports and proposing optimization strategies
- Serve as in house ad ops expert – provide recommendations on technologies, targeting capabilities, best practices and building a scalable ad ops team
- Develop a strategy for optimization of our daily inventory to ensure we are achieving an optimal revenue across both marketing and advertising initiatives
- Eventually, hire and lead other ad ops and trafficking professionals
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS/BA or equivalent in business, technology or other related field
- 5+ years experience in a technical or ad ops role at an online media company, publishing or digital agency
- Expert level experience in different ad serving technologies (DART, DSM, DFP, Atlas etc)
- Experience with different targeting technologies (Boomerang, Abluki etc)
- Experience with HTML, Javascript and other coding languages
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel master
- Positive, pro-active attitude and commitment to excellence a must
- Able to effectively multitask and balance multiple priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment
