Varinode, Inc. is streamlining the online shopping experience.

Imagine if Pinterest users are able to purchase any item directly within the Pinterest app/site. Our B2B technology retrieves 3rd party products and shopping carts into one consolidated checkout solution, enabling users of social media and discovery sites/apps to purchase any product without navigating offsite. By keeping the shopping experience in one location, we help businesses increase user retention and sales.

Varinode is currently participating in the Plug & Play Startup accelerator program.

 

Description

We are seeking a creative, tech savvy individual who shares our vision of how people will experience the varinode product, and support us in bringing that vision to life.

In a UX/UI Design Intern role, you will develop user flows and wireframes of the ideal unified checkout process for both website and app settings, and then build user interface mockups and prototypes accordingly.

This is a unique opportunity to join a disruptive start-up and you will work directly with the co-founders on 2 interactive prototypes during the length of the internship. Candidates interested in working on a live project to gain real world experience are encouraged to apply. The internship is unpaid, with compensation assessed on a per project basis.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of developing user interfaces and digital designs for web properties and apps (Please share your portfolio with us when you apply)
  • Hands on skills in standard Adobe CS design tools
  • Hands on skills in HTML, HTML5, CSS and Javascript coding
  • Passion for minimalist design and uncompromising attention to detail
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and tasks at once  
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Fluency in one of the following languages a plus: PHP, Ruby, Python, Java, or Objective-C
