Responsibilities

As part of Turn’s Client Services team, the Account Director will act as the single point of accountability for Turn’s largest and most complex customers.  The Account Director will be responsible for all post-sales account activities including media strategy, data strategy, campaign optimization, and custom integrations.  The Account Director will lead a team of account managers and will also collaborate with Turn’s sales, business development, professional services, solutions engineering, product, and engineering teams to create a seamless customer experience.  The Account Director is expected to be versed in all aspects of Turn’s technology, introducing clients to new system capabilities and identifying opportunities to leverage Turn’s product in novel ways.  The Account Director is responsible for customer retention, renewal, and up-sell, and will be tasked with achieving quarterly financial targets.

The Account Director will delight Turn’s customers by proactively:

  • Developing and nurturing client partnerships
  • Leading account business reviews and goal-setting sessions
  • Evangelizing Turn’s technology and building awareness of product capabilities
  • Identifying innovative solutions to complex marketing challenges
  • Creating robust processes to ensure flawless campaign execution
  • Mentoring account managers to provide consistent service across multiple accounts
  • Leveraging internal resources to address all account needs
  • Managing a team of direct reports including bonus plans and career development

Required Skills

 

  • Experience managing a revenue-driving team
  • Experience owning client relationships, ideally in an analytically oriented field
  • Proven ability to take accountability for complex client deliverables
  • Ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions
  • Technical troubleshooting skills, with creative ability to overcome challenges and problem solve
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible, team-oriented collaborator
  • Self-starter capable of thriving in a startup environment – able to multi-task
  • Emphatic interest in online advertising

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with online advertising technology including ad servers, bidders, tag management systems, and data management platforms
  • Analytical experience, particularly in big data environments
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Education

  • 5-7 years experience in a client services role, preferably in online marketing
  • BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record
