Compliance and Quality Review Analyst

Job Description

Position Overview:

TRUSTe's Compliance and Quality Review Team is responsible for monitoring internal work performed by Privacy Solutions Managers (PSMs) who perform privacy certifications on web sites, mobile applications and web sites and cloud environments. TRUSTe's PSMs utilize a combination of processes, tools and technology coupled with customer interactions and TRUSTe's Program Requirements to certify and monitor customer properties for privacy certifications. Once clients meet criteria defined in TRUSTe's Program Requirements they become 'TRUSTe-certified' and are provided with the TRUSTe seal that is recognized throughout the world. The TRUSTe seal promotes online trust which represents customers who have opted to be part of an elite group who value best-of-breed privacy practices and want to differentiate their businesses with the TRUSTe seal.

The TRUSTe Compliance and Quality Review Team reviews TRUSTe privacy certifications performed by TRUSTe's Privacy Solutions Managers (PSMs) and provides assessment/feedback. The team is also responsible for defining and delivering solutions that drive continuous quality improvement via PSM training, management reporting and key performance indicators for internal and external customers at TRUSTe. 


  • Demonstrate proficiency in TRUSTe Program Requirements and apply to analyzing customer implementations;
  • Perform consistent, periodic monitoring and reporting of TRUSTe resources and their adherence to certification procedures;
  • Assist Compliance and Quality Review Team Lead in defining, documenting and analyzing Compliance and Quality Review-related performance and statistics; 
  • Identify and help implement process improvements and training;
  • Meet defined monthly and quarterly Compliance and Quality Review goals.
  • Additional duties as assigned, such as potentially:
    • processing consumer dispute resolution requests and other feedback;
    • testing and investigating compliance issues;
    • analyzing trademark violation reports.

Required Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills for numerical and policy analysis, including ability to understand nuance/ complexity;
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, phone and face-to-face;
  • Solid project management abilities, including tracking, communicating and meeting deadlines;
  • Attention to detail, and focus on work accuracy;
  • Highly motivated and self-directed;
  • BA/BS or equivalent, plus 2 or more years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel;
  • Basic familiarity with Internet technologies (HTML, FTP, cookies, web beacons, etc.);


The following are helpful but not required:

* Familiarity with Internet business models and marketing strategies

* CIPP certification and/or other experience with privacy issues
* More advanced technical skills such as programming, systems administration, mobile technologies.
