Acquisition Marketing Manager

Job Summary:

The Clymb is seeking a data-driven, detail-oriented Acquisition Marketing Manager.  This role will be responsible for the day-to-day success of Paid Search, SEO, affiliate marketing, display, and other acquisition marketing tactics. Reporting to the Marketing team but partnering with the Analytics team, this role will provide The Clymb with the necessary decisions to double member volumes with quality shoppers. As part of this, you’ll need to use and provide recommendations to improve The Clymb’s business intelligence systems. The role also requires great communication skills to drive your strategies to our agencies and partners.  And you’ll have to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, endlessly changing environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead paid search strategy.  The ideal candidate can manage Clymb branded paid search on his/her own, and manage an agency to make unbranded terms work profitably.
  • Develop specific SEO recommendations and be able to assess prioritization and measure the impact of the recommendations.
  • Participate in the marketing strategic decision-making process by providing guidance, support and analytics.  Provide regular reports to inform business decisions.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the company's eCRM tools and data to make more qualified member acquisitions.
  • Leverage assets in The Clymb’s 2+ million-member database in order to create paid acquisition campaigns on Facebook and other social sources.
  • Manage remarketing providers to convert browsers into shoppers.
  • Design and run tests to assess the incremental impact of paid media tactics.
  • Manage a multi-million dollar affiliate campaign.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or above in Business, a social science, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or related field of study or equivalent experience
  • Deep experience with SEM & SEO
  • Experience managing a budget
  • Experience building out paid search campaigns including keyword selection, copy writing, landing page testing, and bid management
  • Deep knowledge of SEO tactics for delivering quality content to users and getting high ranks in Google organic listings
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of the ad tech landscape with a focus on Remarketing and data-driven prospecting
  • Experience with affiliate marketing at a brand or agency
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. A proven ability to present information to all levels of management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven teamwork skills with the ability to handle a diverse workload with tight time frame requirements and competing resources
  • Highly motivated with the ability to drive results, working on a team as well as independently.
  • Can relate to The Clymb's products and the Northwest outdoor lifestyle

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing role
  • 3+ years experience in paid search & SEO
  • Experience optimizing and segmenting paid search, display, and social CRM campaigns
  • Demonstrated aptitude to generate new insights from data
  • Project management experience
  • Retail/ecommerce experience, with outdoor experience preferred
