Shmoop (www.shmoop.com) is a digital curriculum company that makes learning, teaching, and test prep materials that are - get this - smart and fun.

Wanted: Business Development person with a love of learning and education. Must be good overall "intellectual athlete". Must be able to write succinctly, clearly, and quickly. Erudition and wit a plus. Puerile humor a must. Will report to CEO.

Responsibilities: 
-Are you a creative deal person? Would you like to think through partnerships for Shmoop?  What are great ways to bundle, promote, and cross-sell products? How do we better monetize the millions of students and teachers who visit our website each month? How do we get Shmoop deeply ingrained in schools across the country? That's all you.

Minimum Requirements: 
-BA/BS from a top university with a 3.6+ GPA 
-Deep love for driving results and an utter disdain for boring bureaucracies
-3-5 years experience in business development
-Love education and want to make the world smarter
-Excel and PowerPoint Ninja

Bonus Points for:
-Experience with teens or teachers 
-Experience putting together business development materials and term sheets
-Experience doing affiliate marketing or promotional business development with other websites 
-Experience working closely with ad agencies
