Responsibilities:

RBM is seeking an exceptional Social Media Coordinator for its San Francisco office. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the launch and management of our clients’ social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and other Social Media sites. This candidate will be the lead on managing online discussions by listening to users, reading between the lines and responding in a timely manner to user needs and requests. This will require coordinating across different functional departments to ensure proper messaging is being executed online that is relevant to our clients’ goals. The Social Media Coordinator will be reporting to the Associate Director of Solutions.
 
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Plans and develops strategy for social media content by researching, copywriting and devising social media plans for clients
  • Ensuring that positive messaging is maintained in the community and optimizing content based on the community’s reaction
  • Make directional decisions on behalf of clients regarding content
  • Establishing consistency of messages across multiple networks
  • Monitoring and tracking discussion topics on behalf of our clients
  • Preparing reports on usage statistics by analyzing extensive data to extract insight and polishing information for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identifying key industry influencers and brand advocates
  • Coordinating social campaigns to increase engagement and the follower/fan base for clients
  • Train clients on social media best practices and how to use relevant tools and technologies
  • Complete ownership of several Social Media accounts under the limited guidance of the Associate Director of Solutions
  • Writing blog posts, social messages, web articles, videos and screencasts aligned with client brand
  • Exercising independent judgment and independently meeting with clients and Account
  • Managers for weekly check-ins, status update meetings, etc.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of digital marketing experience, specifically in Social Media, in a small, independently-owned agency
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in liberal arts, journalism, new media, English or literature
  • Must have active accounts across key social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook,
  • Twitter, Google+, Youtube, Pinterest, etc.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task
  • Excellent written communication and verbal/presentation skills
  • Exceptional grammatical skills
  • Passion for social trends, new technology and digital marketing
  • Ability to master new emerging tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge of online jargon preferred
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team full of opinions and ideas
  • Strong professional, confidence-inspiring presence and business style
  • Self-starter with a solid work ethic, self-discipline, and persistence
