Position: Human Resources Assistant
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager on all personnel matters and assists with payroll preparation.
o Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
o Conduct benefits enrollment for new employees.
o Maintain I-9 files and ensures forms are completed timely and accurately to maintain compliance with Federal regulations.
o Submit new employee background checks.
o Reconcile the benefits statements.
o Perform payroll/benefit-related reconciliations to General Ledger and other accounts.
o Update HR spreadsheet with employee changes & new hires.
o Assist HR Manager with the implementation of a new HRIS system.
o Make photocopies, scan documents and perform other clerical functions.
o Organize, maintain and update personnel files.
o Prepare offer packets, welcome packet & stock packets.
o Maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
o Maintain human resources bulletin boards and postings as requested.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
o A Bachelor’s degree with 0 – 2 years Human Resources experience.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
o Exceptional integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
o Must be detail-oriented.
o Problem solver.
o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing changing priorities with constant interruptions.
o Proficient with the latest version of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel.
o Ability to maintain professional and approachable demeanor to effectively handle employee inquiries and maintain good employee relations.
o Demonstrates flexibility, organization and self-motivation.
