Job Description:

Reporting to the manager ad-server development, we are looking for an ad server developer who can design and implement scalable features in PubMatic ad-server.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable features for PubMatic ad server
  • Troubleshoot any issues with existing features, live on production.
  • Understanding of Big Data technologies

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of ad-serving platforms in online advertising
  • Prior experience in developing ad-servers serving massive scale and performance
  • Knowledge of technologies such as memcache, apache, etc. is required
  • Knowledge of optimization, targeting, data handling, reporting, Real Time Bidding and the ecosystem involved, the standards, APIs, protocols etc.
  • Knowledge of RTB, second price auctions, CPM floors, bidding algorithms, campaign prioritization, reporting, campaign management, audience and other forms or targeting, etc.
  • Working experience in C, Linux/UNIX environment is required
  • Working experience in databases, preferably MySQL
  • Excellent understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to self-direct and work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5-8 years of work experience in relevant field.

The candidate should have an understanding of the Online Advertising Industry, a passion for technology and the drive and ownership to work in a start-up environment.  The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on teamwork, ownership, initiative and integrity.  High energy and must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to react to changing priorities and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a deadline-oriented environment is also critical.
