Sales Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly-motivated, strategic minded professional to join us as a Sales Finance Manager.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6-8 years total experience including experience in a start-up environment.

The position is a great opportunity for an individual seeking growth in an exciting industry.  The position reports to the Vice President of Finance and will have extensive interactions with executives across all functional teams.  The role requires a candidate who can quickly become familiar with PubMatic’s business, associated metrics and is able to support business decisions through in-depth analysis coupled with sound business judgment.   This position will serve as a critical business partner to the Go-To-Market teams including global sales and service, product management and marketing across all platform solutions.


  • Manage annual and quarterly forecasting process of top-line revenue, margins and impression traffic
  • Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue and margin performance reports across business units
  • Monitor and highlight key performance metrics and identify new leading indicators and insights
  • Partner with executives and business development team to evaluate and negotiate partnership deals
  • Assist with financial analysis and presentations to senior management and Board of Directors
  • Present monthly business performance reviews across key investment areas
  • Manage quarterly sales compensation process in partnership with Revenue Operations and Sales executives
  • Monitor sales productivity and analyze customer profitability
  • Identify and drive the development of go-to-market product solutions and pricing strategies
  • Improve sales and business processes through the development and implementation of metrics, dashboards, functional process enhancements, training, and automated tools
  • Analyze revenue trends, market and competitive developments, and identify growth opportunities and impacts from proposed initiatives
  • Ensure finance requirements are incorporated into key workflows across various disciplines including sales, product, and finance/accounting


  • BA/BS degree in technical or business fields with excellent academic record from a premier university
  • 6+ years of financial analysis experience from a Fortune 500, investment bank, or high growth firm
  • Superior analytical and modeling skills
  • Relevant experience in a start-up environment and in online advertising
  • Extensive financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and planning experience
  • Proficiency in SQL highly desirable
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables)
  • Experience with NetSuite and Adaptive Planning are desired
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and management skills
