Director of Sales, Mobile

As a member of PubMatic’s Mobile Publisher Sales team, you will be responsible for establishing, long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with large traditional & online media companies. You will be a key member of PubMatic’s sales team involved in prospecting, selling, and closing long term relationships.  Internally, the role requires collaboration with: Video Operations, Publisher Sales, DSP Management and Engineering teams.


  • Lead sales efforts through all aspects of the sales cycle including relationship initiation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Reaching or exceeding quarterly revenue goals.
  • Continuously prospecting for new business using your existing network of relationships and creating new relationships.
  • Evangelizing the PubMatic solution to the assigned market.
  • Developing and growing PubMatic’s market presence.

Desired Experience

  • Ideal candidate will have worked at an ad serving technology (Desktop or Mobile - i.e. DoubleClick,AdMarvel, mOcean, MoPub) company, an ad network or DSP (i.e. Ad.com, Millennial Media, Turn, Nexage) and/or large media company.
  • Strong knowledge & familiarity with mobile programmatic, RTB and Internet advertising models.
  • Strong set of existing relationships with large cross screen media companies and mobile application providers at the VP/Director or C-level.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and impeccable business judgment; professional distinction in thought leadership and innovation.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong written, presenting & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to learn, take charge and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • High energy, self-motivated and passionate about working in a fast paced start up environment.


  • 2+ years in mobile required.
  • 1+ year in the programmatic industry (highly valued).
  • 5+ years in a sales or business development role in the mobile or online industry.
  • BA/BS degree required, MBA/JD a plus.

Location & Travel

  • West Coast - Seattle, SF, LA at a minimum.
  • Travel will be about 25% based on location.
