(Closed) Account Executive, Advertiser Solutions - Bay Area

Job Description

PubMatic’s One Platform technology powers the programmatic advertising strategy of leading publishers and premium brands.  Our innovative solutions help content providers drive the highest value for their digital media assets and provide consumers with a more personalized advertising experience across display, mobile and video.

Our Account Executives are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with advertisers across all buyer types - ad network, DSPs, agency trading desks, agencies and brands. Account Executives provide concierge level customer service and building long lasting customer relationships across all buyers and products offered by PubMatic. This person will work closely with other PubMatic divisions, including: Account Management, Client Operations, Publisher Sales and Service, Product Development and Product Marketing.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Actively source new business opportunities across all advertiser types.
  • Manage multiple advertiser and agency accounts; develop positive working relationships across the organizations.
  • Work closely with Account Management on day-to-day operational processes including campaign set-up, receipt of creative or tags, trafficking, optimization, trouble-shooting and QA.
  • Work closely with Client Operations to determine root causes for customer success or failure, and drive requirements for product or process enhancement and development as needed. 
  • Leverage reporting and technology to meet and exceed advertisers’ goals.
  • Manage customer activity with CRM tools for maximum efficiency and visibility, with carefully executed follow-up to closure on open issues.
  • Adhere to established processes and work flows, as it relates to onboarding new advertisers, campaign set-up, ad trafficking, campaign performance management and follow-up. Provide input on new processes and work flows as needed.
  • Focus on ensuring white glove customer service levels, operational excellence and strategic insight. Attend appropriate industry events, conferences to effectively network and grow your industry knowledge. 
  • Responsible for conducting quarterly business reviews, monthly in person working sessions with accounts and numerous client engagements/phone calls per week. 
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals.

  • Familiarity with programmatic and RTB a plus

Desired Experience and Education

  • 4+ years in sales or business development role in the online industry, specifically from an Ad Network, Exchange, DSP, Agency Trading Desk or Agency/Media Sales. 
  • Agency experience is a plus.
  • BS or BA required
  • Strong knowledge of ad serving technology, ad networks and the online advertising industry in general.
