Advancement Opportunities

Once you’ve proven yourself as a Sales Development Rep, you will have the opportunity to move into an Account Executive role.  In this Sales and Business Development role, you will go deeper and wider into our current and prospective enterprise customers; manage our partner ecosystem; and help drive prospects to closure.

 

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel revenue

  • Along with your team, develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business

  • Working with our sales leadership team, create, prioritize, and qualify strategic target account lists

  • Research and build new and existing accounts (e.g., adding contacts, sending regular emails, strategic appointment setting)

  • Calling and emailing targeted executives at all levels; conduct initial conversations and presentations with them

  • Be an example of organization and excellence to the team by setting and making your goals

  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business

  • Following up on a high volume of new leads in a rapid manner

  • Documenting various details including use case, lead scores, purchase timeframes, next steps

  • Understanding a lead’s needs and effectively communicating how Platfora will meet them  

  • Using SalesForce.com for lead management and sales forecasting

  • Ensuring 100% satisfaction with all customers

  • Making outbound calls to prospective customers

  • Giving high level solution overview presentations online

  • Discovering new leads through internet research and social media monitoring/commenting

  • Supporting marketing efforts by assisting in online, direct mail and other marketing campaigns

 

Qualifications

  • Ability and aptitude to understanding and communicate universe-busting technologies…and an enthusiasm for doing this

  • Ability to understand customer requirements and identify business challenges that Platfora can solve

  • Hunter mentality in seeking out new business

  • Undergraduate degree (BA or BS)

  • Prior sales or lead qualification experience

  • Ability to build strong personal relationships with prospects, customers, and partners

  • High energy and positive attitude

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment

  • Articulate and passionate; this comes through in your excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency with social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google+)

  • Energy and desire to make numerous (50+) phone calls daily

  • Consistent, demonstrable over-achievement in past experiences

  • Email marketing experience a huge bonus
