Global Manager of Sales and Business Development
Palo Alto Research Center, Inc. (PARC) has an opening for a Global Manager of Sales and Business Development in Palo Alto, California.
Responsible for directing and managing commercial sales and business development for research organization’s commercialization programs in multiple domains, including printed electronics, optoelectronics, networking and distributed systems, Big Data analytics, contextual intelligence, energy and innovation consulting. The principal responsibility is meeting revenue targets by developing and formalizing strategic commercial partnerships, and/or through the sales of various services. Duties include leading a team of business development and sales operations professionals to deliver predictable and growing revenues; sales and pipeline management; managing IP terms and licensing; C-level selling and relationship building; technology valuation and business model development.
Masters degree in business administration or industrial engineering or related. Graduate level educational background must include focus on intellectual capital management or intellectual property commercialization. Educational background (graduate or undergraduate) must also include strong foundation in engineering and technology.
Requires minimum 4 years’ experience in job offered/ business development and/or technology analysis for IP licensing and commercialization, with track record evidencing proven ability to exceed revenue targets for a diverse set of early stage technology offerings
