Senior AP Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, personable, and detail-oriented person to join our company as an Accounts Payable Analyst. You will be responsible for all invoicing and payables, along with making improvements to our current AP system so that we are more efficient.

Responsibilities:

  • Full ownership of the company's entire disbursements process (with the exception of Payroll)
  • Full cycle accounts payable including invoice review, coding, securing of approvals, entry and payment.
  • Review all business expenses in our expense reimbursement and management tool, while properly tracking and recording them in the general ledger.
  • Own and manage the travel budgeting tools and corporate credit card program while improving the administrative and reconciliation process with vendors.  
  • Reconcile and maintain vendor accounts and contracts, including accurate review of vendor aging reports, collecting W-9s, year-end 1099 issuance and reporting, and coordinating, organizing, and managing vendor expense files electronically in Bill.com (invoices, payment records, supporting documents).
  • Compile or generate ad hoc financial & operational reporting on disbursements
  • Lead the design & implementation of best practice operations in accordance with company policies
  • Lead or assist on special projects as needed. 

Requirements:

  • You have 2 years of accounting experience with full cycle AP. 
  • You are proficient in all accounts payable functions and processes. 
  • You have a BA/BS degree or higher degree.
  • You have experience streamlining and automating AP/AR processes.
  • You have strong analytical and mathematic skills.
  • You have excellent organizational skills and are detail oriented and thorough.
  • You are able to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • You have experience working in a fast pace, high volume environment and absolutely love it.
  • You are able to meet deadlines by prioritizing tasks.
  • You have intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • You have worked with accounting software in the past, preferably NetSuite.
