About the job...

We are looking for a Client Side Engineer who has experience using RESTful services to build robust Javascript web applications. This is a leadership role and an excellent opportunity to help establish the organization's engineering methodology with regard to Javascript. Ideally this person will not only have a well formed understanding of MV* patterns and frameworks, but also a preoccupation with well crafted, thoughtfully structured, decoupled, object-orented Javascript. An awareness of and appreciation for this emerging field's current best practices is required. An interest in further defining, experiementing and contributing best practices back to the community is appreciated.

Skills & Requirements

Absolute base requirements for the Client Side Engineer...

  • Javascript, JavaScript, and javascript
  • A well developed understanding of MV* patterns and frameworks
  • Enthusiasm for talking about the intersection of javascript and MV*
  • The ability to work out of our office in NYC

Extra Credit if the Client Side Engineer...

  • Actually has the initials JS
  • Enjoys Backbone.js
  • Enjoys engaging in philosophical discussion
  • Knows when it’s time to stop that discussion and write code
  • Is familiar with or interested in the peculiarities of wine culture
