As the Vice President, Client Services you will be charged with leading all software implementation, system training, technical support, business consulting and professional services for Monsoon Commerce (Collegeville, PA and Portland, OR offices), with overall responsibility for the satisfaction, loyalty and retention of over 2,500 customers and growing.  You must have proven experience building, mentoring, and leading a global customer organization within high-growth enterprise software company, and be fully comfortable with achieving significant revenue and profitability goals through partnership with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  The Vice President of Client Services will be expected to renovate the existing customer organization if warranted, create and implement new business practices and customer engagement methods, as well as innovate new lines of service.  The successful executive will report to the CEO and operate as a valuable member of the senior management team and will serve as the primary communicator of customer insight, as well as significantly contribute to the long-term strategic direction of Monsoon Commerce. 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of successful experience of which 5+ years must be leading business/technical consulting, software implementation, training and education and customers support teams in an enterprise software company (ERP, SCM, ecommerce, etc.).
  • Experience managing an operation of 40+ employees with full P&L responsibility.  Candidates must be comfortable with having revenue responsibilities attained through solution delivery, support contracts, up-selling/cross-selling, etc.
  • Strong track record of developing successful customer engagement and retention programs and initiatives, as well as improving customer growth and performance.
  • A strong team builder/leader with excellent executive presence and high intellectual horsepower.  The executive must be accountable and mature, entrepreneurial and passionate with an “apolitical” attitude that permits the “hard” decision.
  • Excellent communicator with internal and external audience; very good presentation skills and a high aptitude for financial and performance trend analysis
  • Projects confidence, inspires change, and leads by example at every level of the organization; strong listening and interpersonal skills; and able to earn and maintain the respect of current and future employees.
  • Able to attract, recruit, motivate, and retain a winning team as well as drawing exceptional results out of individuals and the team as a whole
  • Understands, appreciates and works diligently to build a partnership with the sales organization that is common within world-class organizations.
