Midas Hospitality and the Best Western PLUS is searching for a dynamic Sales Manager who will be responsible for the Corporate Group and Business Travel market for our 241-room, full service hotel with 15,000 sq. ft. of meeting space in Sterling Heights (Detroit) Michigan. www.sterlinginn.com/

This position will be responsible for meeting and exceeding revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable and win-win selling approach.

Effectively move share from competitors to hotel, achieving desired RevPAR index goals through proper mix of business

  • Continually identify and solicit new clients or target groups
  • Ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded by soliciting past and new business
  • Effectively communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner
  • Meet/exceed client needs and resolve complaints
  • Grow existing key accounts as well as solicit new business and / or target groups to ensure that revenues meet or exceed budget
  • Actively solicit business via phone, telemarketing, cold calls, warm calls, and site visits to meet targeted    goals
  • Insure ongoing hotel sales of designated market segment Z(Corporate, Leisure, Tours & Travel, etc.)  and group segments are achieved through solicitation of organizations, professional market segment associations, travel agents, consortiums etc., on a consistent basis
  • Meet revenue goals
  • Optimize revenue by monitoring all distribution channels
  • Consult  with the General Manager, DOS and Corporate Director of Revenue Management on rate/inventory       suitability of potential group business and review STAR Reports to insure hotel is positioned in the market properly
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction
