What we need
Mediaocean, the acknowledged leader in systems and software for the advertising industry, is looking for talented, highly-motivated, senior Java developers for challenging projects to create sophisticated RIA (rich Internet applications) for exciting business opportunities.

What you’ll do

  • Create sophisticated, visually compelling solutions for our clients
  • Help teams transition from a proprietary web development framework to best-of-breed open source tools including GWT, Spring and Hibernate
  • Earn a high degree of individual responsibility and ownership
  • Work in a development environment where mastering the software engineering discipline is highly valued
  • Participate in efforts going green and eliminating paper use

What you’ll bring to the job

  • 5+ years of Java and OO Analysis and Design experience
  • 5+ years experience with the full SDLC including production support for medium-to-large-scale applications
  • Experience writing SQL
  • Experience using Eclipse, CVS and Maven
  • Data modeling experience
  • Knowledge of MVC architecture
  • Ability to design solutions that adhere to architectural guidelines and best practices
  • Experience implementing software solutions that utilize web services and XML
  • Ability to maintain existing software as well as develop new software
  • Ability to take responsibility for features and components
  • Clear written and oral communications
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and present solution options
  • Ability to analyze requirements and test plans and provide constructive feedback
  • Ability to build productive relationships across groups and within the technical team

  • GWT, Ajax, Spring, Hibernate, SOA, ESB

Candidates must to be prepared to discuss their Java object designs and the technical tradeoffs and architectural constraints guiding their design decisions.
