Business Analyst

Job Description

 

Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, developing, auditing and consulting on processes in support of operational excellence and the achievement of business objectives. Responsibilities include monitoring processes for efficiency and effectiveness and analyzing business and user needs and translation into a viable solution. The Process Analyst works closely with stakeholders to analyze and implement process improvements in all stages of the project lifecycle. Will focus on business process improvements, process reengineering, issue identification and strategic planning.
Responsibilities:

  • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope
  • Prioritize process improvement requirements
  • Ensure appropriate stakeholders are involved and obtain required information for appropriate deliverables
  • Document implemented process improvements and control documentation for traceability and future reuse.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend industry leading practices for use across the organization.
  • Assist and may lead in the information gathering and documentation activities for moderately complex processes.
  • Design and document processes, using standard techniques or industry tools such as process modeling
  • Designs and develops standard reports for metrics analysis.
  • Develop and conduct low to moderately complex process related training and communications.
  • Implement policies, processes and standards.
  • Gather process performance metrics.
  • Conduct data analysis.
  • Define, conduct and document audit activities for moderately complex policies, processes, and standards.
  • Identify and record improvement opportunities based upon findings from audits or reviews.
  • Work with Project Manager to schedule and deliver on improvement projects
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical field and at least five (3) years of experience.
  • Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with project management (planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Experience in identifying issues and recommending and implementing short and long term strategies to resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process enhancements to improve administrative efficiencies
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Process Analyst duties such as process analysis, requirements documentation, process enhancement, quality assurance, training and user support
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt or equivalent experience in another process improvement methodology (Lean, Kaizen, etc.) is preferred.
  • Experience in a shared services environment is a plus
