Lovefood.com is a new consumer website that recently launched in autumn 2010 and is aimed at people who are passionate about food – whether that’s eating it, cooking it or buying it. Or all three!
Our contributors include top food writers like Times critic Giles Coren, Evening Standard columnist Connie Allfrey and Guardian blogger Simon Majumdar, along with famous chefs like Jamie Oliver, Anthony Worrall Thompson and Marcus Wareing.
As well as daily recipes from your favourite household names and Michelin-starred chefs, we publish a definitive guide to the top food producers and suppliers in Britain, interviews with celebrity chefs, features on the best kitchen gadgets and opinionated commentary about topical food issues in the news.
Our aim is to give food-lovers one place to go for the best recipes, cooking tips, producers, shops and gadgets. Like the best food show you ever saw, except on your computer.
We are currently looking for a couple of Developers to join our team. We're ultimately after people who are flexible, fast learners, love to solve problems and get things done and are practical in their approach to software development.
We need people who either strong back-end/DBA or front-end but ultimately you'll be a generalist at heart and your skills will compliment a well rounded team.
All project work is undertaken as part of a cross functional, agile delivery team so the ability to collaborate well with non technical people is key. While this is first and foremost a coding role your ability to communicate effectivley with all stake holders, from business owners through to design is imperative.
Reporting directly into the Tech Director these are pure coding roles with no requirement for people management although it is important you are a driven self starter, happy to work autonomously.

This has the potential of being a very varied and flexible role suitable for a strong all-rounder, providing a great deal of autonomy and opportunity for the right candidate.
