Software Engineer - Customer Integration

Who are you?

Livefyre is looking for a customer facing Software Engineer to lead customer integrations and improve how we get the world’s largest publishers and brands set up using our real-time platform. Manual, “one-off” customer implementations aren’t a good way to scale a business. You will build applications that make our customer onboarding process more efficient and serve a diverse set of requirements. You enjoy talking to customers, solving their problems, and using those interactions to form insights that improve how things are done - you see the setup process as an extension of the product. This is a great opportunity to define the customer experience and shape how we do business during a period of rapid growth.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Designing and building a better onboarding process.
  • Communicating with enterprise customers daily and debugging issues.
  • Working closely with account management and core engineering teams.
  • Coding in Python, Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Improving documentation and process.
 
Key Skills
  • Exceptional proficiency in at least one language.
  • Extremely strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • A strong understanding of web technologies: including CSS, HTML 4/5, and cross-browser debugging.
  • Some familiarity with data stores (MongoDB, Redis, MySQL, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting (especially under fire).
  • Strong ability to dig through logs and other data sources.
  • Strong grasp of CS fundamentals and design patterns.
  • Strong familiarity with Git or similar SCM.
  • Sense of urgency and thrives in an incredibly fast-paced environment.
