Project Manager 

We are an established mid-sized IT consulting company based in Toronto and we are 
undergoing rapid expansion and growth.  As such, we are looking for the most talented fulltime 
and contract IT specialists in the market.

The role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict 
deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of 
team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according 
to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control 
throughout its life cycle.
 
Skill and Qualifications:
 
 Extensive Project and Program Management experience 
 Experience with IT migration and IT integration of systems
 Experience dealing with multi vendor environments
 Extensive background and broad understanding of Information Technology
 Experience in leading large teams in full Systems Development Life Cycle projects  
 Experience in client relationship management and business development. 
 Track record of successful delivery of specified projects on time and on budget 
 Experience in structuring and managing a number of various projects within a single 
program environment
 Experience with determining resources requirements as well as managing those 
resources.

We Are Looking for someone who: 
 
 Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing 
needs and requirements.
 Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
 Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
 Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
 Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
 Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.Page 2
 Minimizes our exposure and risk on project.
 Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
 Manages project budget.
 Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and 
monitors receivables for project.
 Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization.
 Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization.
 Identifies business development and "add-on" sales opportunities as they relate to a 
specific project.
 Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general 
corporate news.
 Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors.
 Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
 Possesses general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and 
system design.
 Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
 Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
 Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on 
client engagements.
-Has experience with mid/large range ERP Solutions

 

Must Have:

 
 Enthusiasm, drive and winning spirit within a team environment 
 Outstanding leadership abilities and experience as a Project Leader
 10+ years of technology consulting experience in a large scale environment 
 Strong desire to learn and stay current in one or more areas of technical expertise 
 Superior interpersonal/consulting skills, initiative and presence 
 Ability to travel and work in Canada
 PMP designation or PMI membership an asset
 Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
 Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
 Direct work experience in project management capacity
 Proven experience in people management
 Proven experience in strategic planning
 Proven experience in risk management
 Proven experience in change management
 Proficient in project management softwarePage 3
 
Education Requirements: 
 
 A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related IT experience
