Sales Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the administration of Salesforce.com, including a focus on implementation of best practices around appropriate data hygiene and overall system functionality improvements and business process definition
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for new processes
  • Partner with Sales Management on business planning and strategy for their respective sales areas
  • Drive standards of performance and specific actions, including definition of key performance metrics and dashboards that drive sales activities at the territory level that are consistent with predefined success criteria for the sales organization; track and report on these activities on a periodic basis.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing to manage sales tools, improve lead flow, establish and report on SLAs, as well as help develop and manage touch-point programs
  • Lead, coordinate, manage, and report on bookings forecasting and automation/ forecasting tools; drive adoption of forecasting tools, CRM and dashboards
  • Manage and consolidate weekly forecast and metric reports and provide analysis for Sales Management
  • Proactively diagnose the analytical requirements of the sales organizations; design and deliver reporting to meet their requirements
  • Develop comprehensive pipeline reporting tools, while developing effective sales enablement programs to drive growth, account penetration and customer acquisition and retention
  • Assist in setup, maintenance, and modification of sales territories and provide comprehensive analysis of territory alignment decisions
  • Assist in all facets of sales planning and compensation program development, inclusive of quota, headcount and sales plan, compensation program design and own reporting of actual performance against plan on a regular and consistent basis
  • Provide recommendations, based on data analysis, in support of key business decisions
  • Continuous development of standard reporting tools to support the changing requirements of the business
  • Develop monthly operational review slide for Board of Directors and Senior Management
  • Support the Sales organization with key reports, sales pipeline information and other analysis
  • Administer the Salesforce.com training program for the company
  • Gather customer, industry and market data to understand emerging sales challenges, opportunities, and needs
  • Manage order entry and related documentation tracking, including design of appropriate process which will connect necessary information throughout the company

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years in management capacity leading sales operations
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) and/ or software experience strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen skills and general management awareness
  • Proven experience in defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies
  • Highly analytical, self-motivated and data/ metrics driven
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate results into actionable deliverables, messages and presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to, motivate and inspire a diverse group of individuals, including senior management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent judgment and independent decision making skills
  • Proven ability to interact effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Experience working with management to set and achieve goals and assist in development and input of assumptions for forecasts and budget
  • Strong understanding of Janrain’s products and services, the competitive landscape of the industry, and overall operations and translate into day to day decision making
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software required (Salesforce.com strongly preferred)
