Accounts Payable and Payroll Accountant

Job Summary:

The position will report to the Controller and will support and work closely with Finance and other groups in all aspects of the day to day accounting, monthly closings, special projects and presentations for the Board of Directors meetings.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable
    • Vendor file maintenance(including contracts)
    • Invoice processing & input
    • Employee expense report audit & processing
    • Process vendor check runs
    • Reconcile GL to A/P Subsidiary Ledger
    • W-9 maintenance
    • Annual 1099 processing
  • Payroll
    • Prepare U.S. and foreign payroll for multiple entities with outside service providers.
    • Monthly calculation of sales commissions
  • Compliance
    • VAT, Property, Sales and Use Tax preparation & support
  • Month End Closing
    • Journal Entry preparation and input
    • Accrual of expenses not yet invoiced
    • Commission accrual
    • Account Analysis and Reconciliations
    • Headcount journal entries
  • Reporting (utilizing GP2010 and Excel)
    • Preparation of Supporting Schedules
  • Projects such as:
    • Year end audit support
    • General business metrics & intelligence

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Work experience relevant to the above responsibilities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite(Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with MS GP2010 a huge plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external interaction/communication, including with various levels of management
