The key candidate will help the finance and accounting team with daily operations such as recording journal entries, reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts, and performing analysis to maintain estimates and accruals. This candidate will also be experienced with preparing for an external audit, including creating supporting schedules for the auditors and tracking down financial information as required.
So, what will you do?
Create and maintain schedules and analysis of expenses on a monthly basis to be shared with department heads. The candidate will have to have a strong background of best practices in the procure-to-pay process.
Perform billing for all incoming invoices, including verifying transactions, preparing invoices for data entry, and following up with vendors for discrepancies on purchase orders, accruals, and invoices.
Perform bank reconciliation of bank accounts used on the procure-to-pay process.
BA/BS degree preferred with a strong academic record; CPA in California preferred
Public accounting background preferred (minimum of 2 years)
Must be proficient in documenting transactions using public accounting audit standards
Understanding of financial statement preparation, and GAAP accounting
Ability to maintain a detailed, organized filing system for invoices, statements, and contracts
Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
Familiarity with Netsuite accounting system preferred
Ability to multi-task among different projects and deadlines; a motivated self-starter who can run with their own projects and work as a team
Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work with different personalities and departments.
Experience with gaming, virtual currency, or mobile applications is a plus.
