Sales Business Development Intern

GlobalSign was formed in 1996 as one of the Internet’s original trust service providers (you probably know us as a Certificate Authority). Over the years we have issued millions of digital certificates that have been used to secure commerce and communication on the Internet. Our solutions take the pain out of using cryptography and help organizations solve complex problems with increased productivity and peace of mind.

Who we’re looking for:

GlobalSign's Enterprise Sales Team has a challenging position for a Business Development Intern for up to 20 hours per week for the summer!

What you'll gain:

  • Real-world experience working with a competitive sales team in a high-tech  environment;
  • Experience contacting potential customers to drive the continued growth of the GlobalSign enterprise channel in the North American market.
  • Experience using research methods and customer lists to uncover potential business for GlobalSign Managed PKI solutions.  Identify and uncover key sales levers to qualify a company’s interest in utilizing GlobalSign to adopt or replace their existing certificate solutions.
  • Experience working with cross-departmental professions, along with the VP of Strategic Enterprise Sales and the Sales Operations Administrator;
  • Participate in team meetings and gain experience in working with non-sales support personnel;
  • Experience using Salesforce.com for updates and reporting.
     

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of actively pursuing a BA in Communications/Business/Liberal Arts
  • Desire to work in a “start-up mentality environment” where your contributions make an immediate impact, and where accountability is completely transparent;
  • Good knowledge of cloud hosting, mobile applications and social networking;
  • Strong technical, communication and analytical skills to identify target customers, target companies, and where our services drive the highest value;
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written;
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently;
  • Experience in using MS Office Products

This position is for students only. This is a 6-week, paid internship that may extend into the academic year for the right individual. This position does not offer employee benefits.
