Java Technical Lead

Job Description

The technical teams at Edmunds are defining the next generation of how online publishing works.   Our state-of-the-art technology stack and design thinking processes are key to making the future happen now. As a Technical Lead, you’ll be guiding and influencing other engineers in to executing projects in a timely fashion while making sure all processes are being followed.

What you’ll do:

  • Break up technical projects
  • Produce plans for execution of a team project
  • Review code and correct direction of junior engineers
  • Report on project status and blockers

What you'll need:

  • Time management skills – to ensure things don’t fall thru the cracks
  • Detailed knowledge of technology – you’ll be using Java, Spring, Rest, Maven, Mac, Chef, Linux for deployment
  • Effective personnel leadership
  • Extreme adaptability with respect to meeting requirements from above, below and sideways
  • Strong sales skills to explain concepts up and down
