The systems engineer will work on a team to operate our data center infrastructure including both the pro-active development of new automation, architecture, and systems capabilities as well as the on-call, reactive response procedures, tier 3+ escalations, and maintenance activities of operations. The systems engineer role will work cross-functionally with our customer and engineering teams. The systems engineer will influence and technically lead projects as knowledge of the ConnectSolutions environment is achieved.
A successful senior systems engineer will participate in and lead multiple technical projects with strong attention to detail and effective communication to update on progress and influence the outcome. The will have the skill to contribute to the success of the organization and have a willingness to help others accomplish their goals. This candidate will be in a position to facilitate effective coordination betweek cloud operations and other functional teams in the company.
ConnectSolutions systems environment consists of over 1,000 virtual machines of both Windows and Linux servers across 7 global data centers covering every major global region managed by tools such as Puppet, Icinga, VMWare vCenter, Microsoft Systems Center, and many others to enable real-time collaboration products such as Microsoft Lync and Adobe Connect.
