About Us:

In this key role at Chango, the director of partnerships reports to the Director, Marketing & Partnerships and will be responsible for growing our network of publishers and data partners.

Chango is a successful, rapidly growing venture backed start-up, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, with growing offices in New York and San Francisco. Chango is changing the way advertisers buy display media, allowing advertisers to speak directly to consumers based on their recent searches on Google, Yahoo!, and Bing among others.

This is an opportunity to join one of the most innovative companies of 2011 (AdTech IA, Deloitte CTW). We are growing rapidly to meet the needs of our impressive client base, including major, well known retailers and internationally recognized advertisers (iCrossing) in the US and Canada.


Help develop the company data and media strategy by analyzing current company data, sales needs, and market opportunity

Acquire the highest online intent data via execution of the company strategy

Grow the pipeline of Data Partners in the US, Canada and the UK

Sign new deals with new Data Partners and continue to further the relationships with existing Data Partners

Assess direct media buy opportunities with publishers

Prioritize the deal pipeline by evaluating quickly the profitability and likelihood of each prospect

Promote Chango’s data marketplace to publishers

Manage communication between partners/customers and internal functions during project deployments


Minimum of 5 years of publisher development/data/business development/sales experience in an online media related field

Previous experience for an ad network, ad exchange highly valued

Experience with start-ups and/or an environment where the pace is fast and where management needs to remain nimble (i.e. an environment where strategy needs to be constantly reviewed and updated)

Ability to identify strategic business opportunities and mobilize the appropriate resources to exploit them effectively

Strong business strategy perspective and analytical skills

Negotiations with corporate partners, e.g. service contracts, licenses, joint-ventures

Great communicator, able to interact with remote organizations

You are a team player, with the ability to deliver results independently
