Project Manager


BlueVolt, the leading provider of online Learning Management Systems (LMS) for the manufacturing, construction and service industries has an opening for a Project Manager for its design and content development team. Candidates for this opportunity must possess strong organizational, trafficking and client relationship skills, a collaborative working style and the ability to work productively in an open environment. This position requires the skill to oversee day-to-day workflow and manage multiple projects of varying types and complexities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Scope, estimate, manage and report on projects by effectively applying our methodology and workflow standards.  Types of work include:
    • Online course development
    • Video production (stand-alone and training support)
    • LMS/learning portal branding
    • Webcast support
    • Marketing and collateral materials (online and print)

Primary Duties:

  • Schedules and tracks projects and maintain project site
  • Leads project kick-off meetings with customers
  • Facilitates regular status meetings with project team
  • Continually reviews work progress and priorities
  • Acts as liaison between customers, sales team and creative team
  • Tracks and reports project metrics including revenue and utilization
  • Coordinates vendor/contractor projects and monitors hard costs
  • Minimizes risks on projects by practicing due diligence and voracious QA
  • Maintains project files and assets
  • Contributes to the development of new project proposals
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
  • Works to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Inspires coworkers to excellence

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years experience in project or traffic management and coordination, ideally as part of a creative team in an agency or elearning setting
  • Competency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
  • Familiarity with web-based project management tools. HTML, CSS knowledge a plus
  • Experience with, or knowledge of online course development using Articulate and instructional design methodologies helpful
  • Comfortable working in a open and paperless environment

This position requires a proactive thinker with the skills to work independently on simultaneous projects and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members
