Compliance Manager (Risk Management)

Job Description

The Compliance Manager position is responsible for assuring the assigned product line(s) policies and procedures are aligned with corporate compliance as well as managing the execution & coordination of compliance function at the product line level including line of credit, installment loans, rent-to-own, business leasing, and our core product, BillPay.   The individual will work closely with Engineering, Product Risk, Product Management, and Management team leads to ensure regulatory compliance and governance controls are aligned.

Responsibilities:

The Compliance Manager position is responsible for assuring the assigned product line(s) policies and procedures are aligned with corporate compliance as well as managing the execution & coordination of compliance function at the product line level including line of credit, installment loans, rent-to-own, business leasing, and our core product, BillPay.   The individual will work closely with Engineering, Product Risk, Product Management, and Management team leads to ensure regulatory compliance and governance controls are aligned.

·       Management of Compliance Policy Manual – updates, modifications, additions, and enforcement internally.

·       Implement compliance program initiatives at product line level and enterprise level

·       Review new and pending legislation which will affect at enterprise and product line levels.  Communicate requirements to management team and product line leads (Product, Risk, Engineering)

·       Act as compliance lead with funding partners and investors as questions or issues arise

·       Develop and target compliance monitoring initiatives to determine transaction quality across enterprise and product lines

·       Lead compliance risk reviews related to compliance testing process and general governance requirements

·       Act as subject matter expert for compliance items such as Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC,FACTA, FCRA, UDAP, FDCPA, and other critical regulatory requirements

·       Lead internal compliance training endeavors including course selection, oversight of team results, and additional training as deemed necessary to ensure we meet our regulatory requirements and team is education on key laws and regulations

·       Act as key member of Fraud team to ensure fraud controls and reports are aligned with best practices for the company

·       Participate with funding partners in internal audits, regulatory audits, and due diligence efforts as needed

·       Manage compliance analyst (s) staff to ensure coverage of critical areas and provide training to team members as required

·       Isolate and manage key compliance logs and prioritize critical compliance risk issues and work with Product or Enterprise leads in ensuring these items are addressed

·       Monitor and track critical compliance risk issues and update management team

·       Act as Compliance Champion for organizationRequirements:

 

Job Requirements :

·       5-10 years of experience in Compliance area with Financial Services products

·       Demonstrated track record of successful compliance management strategies and oversight capabilities

·       A strong desire to gain results, collaborate, and have fun!

·       Quick learner in fast paced environment with hands on attitude and skill set

·       Strong compliance skills and knowledge of major regulations such as Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, US Patriot Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair and Accurate Transaction Act, Unfair and Deceptive Practices Act, and Fair Debt Collections Practices Act

·       Excellent communication skills – verbal and written (able to communicate across organization, enterprise management, product leads, auditors,  and funding partners)

·       Entrepreneur mindset and desire to make things happen

·       Bachelors in Business or similar minimum.   Masters a plus.

·       Previous experience in leading compliance training programs a plus
