Position Description – Technical Support Specialist

The company was formed to help municipalities better manage their non-consent towing operations, a billion dollar industry. With contracts now in San Francisco, Baltimore County, San Diego, Kanas City, Concord, and Indianapolis. The company has proven its model and is rapidly expanding nationally.   


AutoReturn is seeking to add a Level 2 Technical Support Specialist to our team. This individual should have a strong foundation in Information Technology. The ideal candidate will be driven by the challenge of providing high quality service to end users and solving technology problems. This role is responsible for managing AutoReturn’s technical support process, collaborate on problem resolution, utilize and constantly improve the company’s existing Help Desk and FAQ systems.

The Technical Support Specialist will also be involved in a wide range of technology implementation projects focused on expanding the feature set and capabilities of AutoReturn’s applications and IT infrastructure.  Activities will include project involvement supporting AutoReturn’s effort to roll-out to new clients, creating automated reports, QA testing, and other duties assigned as a member of the AutoReturn Information Technology (IT) Department.

  • This position is entry level, however some technical prowess and familiarity is desired in the following areas (not all required – training will be provided where needed):

    • Experience with providing technical support

    • Experience or coursework in computer programming

    • Familiarity with smartphone technology

    • Familiarity with web-based applications

    • Familiarity with commonly used office productivity tools (MS Office, etc.)

    • Familiarity with desktop and laptop administration

    • Familiarity with Windows operating systems

    • Familiarity with Mac operating systems

    • Familiarity with SQL databases, query writing and reporting tools
