Department Overview
Aria’s Operations team consists primarily of Systems, Application, and Database Administrators. Technical
staff is grouped into focused teams: Production Operations, Development Operations, Application Operations,
Release Operations, and IT/Security. These teams work primarily out of Broomall, PA, with some remote
team members working in India. This team operates in a 24x7 environment, supporting Aria production and
development systems; this team (DevOps) will support the Dev and QA environments. Understanding that IT
work can sometimes include off-hours fire drills, DevOps team members will not typically be supporting offhours
efforts. In the event of an emergency, however, all members of the Operations team will be expected to
aid in major business-impacting events.

Position Summary
This role will require senior-level DBA experience, but will not include management of personnel; position
reports to the Manager of Development Operations. Travel is rare for this role, but should be considered a

Successful candidate will posses at least 5 years of hands-on experience and be proficient in Oracle 10g/11g
implementation and administration with particular focus on the high end always available OLTP
infrastructure. Candidates with experience in environments that require periodic security and compliance
audits are desired.


 Oracle RAC on Linux or Unix
 Working knowledge of Linux operating environment
 PL/SQL skills
 SQL Tuning skills
 Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or comparable experience)
 Excellent communication skills

Highly Desired:
 Replication technologies such as GoldenGate or Shareplex
 Scripting skills
 Experience administering Oracle ASM, Data Guard, Oracle Advanced Security, Partitioning and OEM
