WANTED: Web Engineers for 99designs.com!
Ready for More?
You’re a Web Development hotshot. You can turn any set of ideas into something scalable, reliable, beautiful even. But you want more. Using you to merely bring a design doc to life is a waste. You’re ready to contribute to product design and iteration in a meaningful way. Well here’s your shot.
99designs is a successful startup backed by Accel Partners (they've also invested in Facebook, Groupon, Dropbox). We are a diverse, dynamic group who love great design, great food, and great coffee. We're the #1 online marketplace for crowdsourced graphic design, with a new design uploaded every 5 seconds and more than $30,000,000 paid out to our community in just 4 years. And now, we're looking to add more web dev firepower to our team.
Our Melbourne based team (zero attrition in 4 years by the way) works across PHP 5.3 and a little bit of Ruby/Python to scale and innovate 99designs.com – one of the most disruptive sites on the web. We are still a small team of generalists, so you’ll get involved with everything from implementing new features and directions to assisting with feature definition, user story generation and complexity estimates to contributing ideas for architecture and tools. All in an agile, opensource environment where you’ll get the chance to show your creativity with 10% R&D time. To get a deeper feel for our tech environment, check us out on high scalability… http://goo.gl/0BMSr
With offices in both Melbourne and San Francisco, we are a rapidly growing team with a culture for encouraging passionate people to be fun and creative. Everyone has a voice and everyone shapes our future. Our stunning new gallery-style Melbourne office boasts an industrial espresso machine, bose speaker system, active social club, foosball table and gym membership. It’s so gorgeous you’ll probably want to spend all your time there, and we do accommodate flexible working arrangements – no more 9-to-5 attitude!
