Xobni’s Senior Software Engineer will work as a key member of the Xobni Server Engineering team to provide Xobni customers with highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant distributed XobniCloud service, which automate access to contact information and address book search services via Outlook, Gmail, Blackberry, IPhone, and Android devices. The Senior Software Engineer will identify technical requirements from clients devices and architect software solutions for large-scale customer facing applications that solve Xobni’s customer’s day-to-day and business problems. The Senior Software Engineer will lead the technical delivery of the software solution through the full lifecycle of project including requirements, design, implementation, unit testing, deployment and maintenance. He/she will work across multi-functional teams providing leadership and interfacing with quality assurance teams in order to ensure software solutions transition smoothly and successfully from development to full-scale operational status. He/she will conduct design and code reviews to ensure high quality end products. The Senior Software Engineer will mentor junior engineers and provide them with technical leadership as well as interact with Xobni’s enterprise clients’ counterpart to solicit software requirements and resolve technical issues.   

The Senior Software Engineer will perform back-end integration with a wide variety of systems, such as: Email, Billing and CRM systems, and participate on sales and account calls to explain technical solutions to clients. He will utilize C#, Java, JSP, JavaScript, REST, Web Services, XML, JDBC, and Java Application servers’ development environments, as well as Perl, relational databases, such as MySQL and other tools to implement and unit test features of the system.

Requirements:  

-Bachelor’s Degree Engineering + 5 years of progressive work experience as a Software Engineer or Systems Engineer.   

-Good working knowledge of C# or Java.

-Production experience with NoSQL databases like Apache Cassandra.

-You also understand the benefits of SQL database in general and know when to use it.

-You have been working on systems and application that deals with a large amount of data per user.

-Some experience with dynamic languages like Python and Ruby and you understand to context to use them.

-You dream of making the system faster, while keeping it simple.

Bonus points:  

-You understand Apache Cassandra's internals

-You have worked with Mono on Ubuntu

-Usage of Node.js in a real high volume application.

-Experience with Kyoto Cabinet and Kyoto Tycoon
