As a QA Automation Engineer, you will help develop our test automation infrastructure that is used by all of our QA Engineers who work in Scrum teams, helping them deliver features faster, across a variety of our products. You will provide mentorship and guidance, ensuring that the QA Engineers derive value from our test automation library. You will serve as the keeper of quality standards, ensuring that our test infrastructure continues to be agile and efficient, and prevent it from becoming burdensome to the engineering team.
Your will be responsible for providing expertise and direction in terms of how to implement an effective automated testing solution. As such you must have the technical knowhow and experience necessary to make informed decisions about technologies which the teams will put in place. You must have the technical ability to implement an effective automated testing solution which is cohesive in terms of the methodology, tools and technologies currently in use by each team. You will also provide mentorship and support to the team to ensure that the test automation infrastructure is reliable, effective and trustworthy, therefore, you must be confident in your own ability to deliver and be able to communicate your ideas to team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with QA Engineers, Software Engineers and Product Owners to understand our products, define appropriate test scenarios, and provide test infrastructure support
- Write behavior-driven automation tests for multiple products
- Report issues, troubleshoot problems, monitor resolutions
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid knowledge of behavior-driven test automation practices
- Minimum 3 years QA Automation experience including at least 1 year of solid experience with Ruby and Cucumber
- Very strong coding skills in a higher level language like Ruby, Java, Python or similar
- Experience with Capybara using Selenium driver strongly preferred
- Experience with cross-site integration testing
- Experience with social media applications such as Facebook and Twitter is highly desirable
